Enhanced CD Menu Options

If an Enhanced CD has been loaded into your CD-ROM drive, then CD-Runner
will automatically identify it and allow you to access its unique features.
To access the CD-Runner Enhanced CD Menu application, click on the ECD
button (play mode button) or click directly on the Enh-CD indicator when
the CD Player faceplate is on screen. If the CD Player is running (playing
music) it will be automatically stopped and the Enhanced CD Menu application
will appear.

The following options are available using the Enhanced CD Menu:

ENHANCED CD PROGRAM

Click this button to run the main Enhanced CD program file. This program
usually allows you to access all of the movie and picture files on the CD.
Since some Enhanced CD main programs will only work if you are using 256
colors, you may have to temporarily change your video setup using the
control panel to run it. You may also choose to run the movie players and
picture viewers directly using the options below.

When using an enhanced audio CD ("Enh-CD" or ECD), if you attempt to run
a "QuickTime" Movie file off of the CD, you may see a message indicating
that your color depth (or number of colors used by your video board)is not
set correctly to display the movie file. Due to space limitations,
QuickTime movie files are usually limited to 256 colors. If your current
video settings are set for greater than this (e.g. 16-bit HiColor or
24-bit & 32-bit TrueColor modes), then you must change to 256-color mode
to display the movie. Fortunately, Microsoft has a new utility available
free which allows you to quickly change video modes named "QuickRes". This
extremely useful utility may be downloaded from the Microsoft BBS
(206-936-6735), or from the Microsoft Web page on the internet
(WWW.MICROSOFT.COM).
